Halo came out in 2001 - it was supposed to be released late 1998 or early 1999 for the PC - yes, it started life on the Mac but Bungie shifted the development to the PC.
I still have the 15 minute presentation video Bungie did for E3 1998 on PC Games CD-Rom
But in 2000 Microsoft bought Bungie and well as they say, the rest is history.

it was a xbox exclusive - EA did do a PS2 port but they never released it, at least not here in the US.
One of the best games last gen - had super fun playing it. Can't wait to play it now on the PS3

worse than Burnout Dominator? - I think not! The best Burnout by far though is Takedown.. they peaked with that one and have slowly being going downhill.
As much as I liked and enjoyed Paradise - at times it felt like I wasn't playing a Burnout game.. and that was a shame.
Actually Road Rash and Need for Speed were quite excellent on the 3DO..
